Electronic Transfers
Genetics Policy Institute also accepts gifts made through Electronic Funds Transfer. For more information on any of these options, please contact Alan Fernandez at 650-368-9300 or alan@genpol.org.
Check
Many donors choose to give money directly to the institute via check. If you would like to make a gift by personal check, please make it payable to Genetics Policy Institute. Mail your payment to:
Genetics Policy Institute
11924 Forest Hill Boulevard, Suite 22
Wellington, Florida 33414-6258
Pledges
By spreading payments over a period of time — typically not more than five years — pledges allow donors to make larger commitments and fulfill them at a comfortable pace. Contact Alan Fernandez at 650-368-9300 or alan@genpol.org to make a pledge.
Planned Gifts
Genetics Policy Institute’s team of gift planning experts can help you select from a wide variety of tax-wise giving strategies. Please call us to learn more about gifts of retirement plan assets, real property, and the complete range of life income gifts, including charitable remainder trusts, gift annuities, and pooled income funds.
Gifts of Securities
Donors who choose to give appreciated securities can receive a charitable tax deduction for the full market value of the securities and avoid capital gains tax. Publicly traded securities held in a brokerage account may be transferred electronically to Genetics Policy Institute. To ensure that your gift is properly credited, please inform us of the corporate name and ticker symbol as well as the number of shares you intend to give to Genetics Policy Institute.
Bequests
Bequests often enable donors to give more than would have been possible during their lifetimes. Bequests may be kept private, and they can be changed during the donor's lifetime. Bequests are relatively easy to establish, often with just a simple addition to a will or revocable trust. To learn more about bequests, please contact Alan Fernandez at 650-368-9300 or alan@genpol.org.
Tribute Gifts
Gifts made through any of the methods described above can be designated in honor or memory of a loved one or in celebration of a milestone event, such as a birthday or anniversary. If you chose to make a tribute gift on the Genetics Policy Institute’s website, please indicate the honoree in the Special Instructions/Other Designation field. You may also contact the Genetics Policy Institute for personal assistance.
Matching Gifts
Many companies match the charitable gifts of their employees. Please contact the appropriate person at your company to learn if they have a matching program in place.
